Inconvenient Challenge–Freedom is the Issue in Global Warming

Czech President’s ‘Inconvenient Challenge’ To Al Gore
Vaclav Klaus’s book is entitled, Blue Planet in Green Shackles, with the subtitle, What is Endangered: Climate or Freedom? Mr Klaus, an economist by training, was a leading figure in the first Prague governments after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and was Prime minister when the former Czechoslovakia broke into two countries in the “Velvet Divorce” of 1993.
Mr Klaus has challenged Al Gore to a debate about global warming. Since Al Gore has won a Nobel Prize and a Hollywood Oscar for his movie about global warming you would think he would be an expert on the subject. However, he probably will not accept a challenge to debate his global warming theory because he knows it is phony, a scam, he is duping the world. At least he is duping those who can be duped on the issue of global warming. Al Gore could not convince the people in the US to believe in him for president, but he is now trying to convince the people of the world to believe in him when he screams that mankind is ruining the earth and the only way to stop it is to ruin the U.S. economy followed by the economies of other western nations.
Mr Klaus, who lived under communism for decades, recognizes what is going on in the environmental movement. He says that “environmentalism is the new communism, a system of elite command-and-control that kills prosperity and should similarly be condemned to the ash heap of history.”
“I understand that global warming is a religion conceived to suppress human freedom,” he told the editors and reporters at the Washington Times just last Friday, May 30. It is used to justify an enormous scope for government intervention vis-a-vis the markets and personal freedom.”
Klaus told a Czech newspaper on Feb. 8 that fears of catastrophic man-made global warming were a “myth” and critiqued the U.N.’s report, calling it “political.” Klaus also said other government leaders would speak out, but “political correctness strangles their voice.”

World Net Daily produced an issue of Whistleblower Magazine on global warming. The issue is entitled, “Hysteria: Exposing the secret agenda behind today’s obsession with global warming.”
We need to understand that global warming is a fight over freedom not a fight over environmental catastrophe. We must not be duped.
Freedom was the issue from the very beginning of this world (and before) and it is still the issue today. Will we give up our freedom for phony security? President Ezra Taft Benson said the real issue would become clearer as time moved on and that, “A secret combination that seeks to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries is increasing its evil influence and control over America and the entire world.”(See his, “I Testify” talk, General conference, October 1988)
